Sorry, I just remembered to cire the details instead of being vague:

https://codeberg.org/sox_ng/sox_ng/issues/862

The output files that the test produces differ from the OK ones by a
handful of sample values of a 32-bit samples.

cfarm26 has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz with the
following bugs:

cpu_meltdown spectre_v1 spectre_v2 spec_store_bypass l1tf mds swapgs
srbds mmio_unknown bhi its

and the paranoia.c stringent IEEE floating point test reports one flaw:

Checking rounding on multiply, divide and add/subtract.
* is neither chopped nor correctly rounded.
/ is neither chopped nor correctly rounded.
Addition/Subtraction neither rounds nor chops.
Sticky bit used incorrectly or not at all.
FLAW: lack(s) of guard digits or failure(s) to correctly round or chop

On a machine where the test succeeds, paranoia.c reports no flaws.
