While I have not used either of those machines, I concur with this 
option on the basis that having the same CPU between a Linux-based box 
and a macOS box may prove important for troubleshooting some day.  There 
is no reason to cavalierly introduce a new variable if we can avoid it.  
(waits for Apple to discontinue M1 support in macOS...)
