As long as the current situation and the warm weather persist, you could 
turn them on at most for a period (at night in your local time?) both 
for your own personal coolness and not to burn extra energy in air 
conditioning. I can't see anything being so urgent as to require 24-hour 
access and if people who do need them know when they'll be on and off 
they can plan better.
