for one if [ -n "$BASH" ] where "wait -n" was better.

Yes. I should have written it in perl, which all cfarm machines have
but, you know, being old and knowing sh since 1982...

One stat: at yesterday's count the cfarm had 816 processors, mostly 2 or 
3 GHz, which makes it a several teraHz computer. Ah, the feeling of 
power ;-)
