AFAIK Starfive Visionfive 2 doesn't require non-free blobs to boot. You
should be able to build u-boot and linux-libre from source and they
should just work. I bought such a board myself back in April, arrived in
May, but I haven't got the time to test it. I should test it some time
soon to determine if I can offer hosting to the farm. On the other hand,
since cfarm93 runs Debian (sid or trixie??), which has a relatively
clean kernel, if you have an account in the farm, you can ssh into
cfarm93 to see if /lib/firmware exist. I don't have an account in the
farm.
But caveats apply: IMHO this board is quite under powered (comparing to
amd64 or arm64), like most other RISCV boards, building deb packages or
running buildd with jenkins for Trisquel will be slow, unless you plan
to get a fleet of them.
