I said "credibly" and that same post tried to claim (while
presenting no evidence) that Bitcoin is somehow good for the
environment, despite the massive waste of energy in Bitcoin
"mining". That is not a seriously credible position and we can
easily define cryptocurrency in a way that unquestionably
includes Bitcoin if needed.

There is a well-defined distinction between cryptocurrency
(which, yes, includes Bitcoin) and "crypto" which are the scams
that pretend they are similar to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is in fact good for the environment, despite whatever FUD
you dig up on Wikipedia (which is where credibility is truly
lacking). It enables green energy production where it otherwise
couldn't be done or would normally require mixing with fossil fuel
production. It is bringing electricity to Africa where there is
not yet sufficient demand and they don't have electricity (or its
many benefits) available at all. TEPCO is working on a circular
hydroponics system that *consumes* CO2 to produce not only PoW and
electricity, but also fish, vegetables.

With all due respect, you simply do not know what you're talking
about on this topic.

Obviously it makes no sense to allow mining on the CFarm, but to
ban bona fide Bitcoin development simply on the basis of FUD would
be an absurd and firmly anti-freedom decision.
